Writers I Recommend

Hey all,

If you’ve landed on this page, then chances are you're passionate about video games and gaming content! Even if you're not, that's perfectly awesome too! My hope and goal here is to help you expand your gaming network by introducing you to some amazing writers right here on Substack that I wholeheartedly recommend! I’m not doing this for a kickback or anything like that, but I did want to make a page where I could recommend other gaming writers, all while explaining why I am recommending them!

Having been on Substack for only a short while now, I personally found it a bit challenging to discover great gaming writers to subscribe to until others started sharing their recommendations — especially since Substack does not have a category dedicated to gaming content. However, that's why I wanted to create this page: to showcase some of the writers who are consistently creating amazing gaming content and the publications I love to read! This format will also make it super easy for me to add more incredible people in the future!

Chris | ‘94 til Infinity

The early days of PlayStation gaming meant the world to me. I love nostalgia, and I love thinking back to the feelings I had when I was a kid with my old PlayStation consoles and games — Especially my PlayStation 2!
Chris has an amazing publication called ‘94 til Infinity that goes over these early PlayStation days, and I love the focus placed on the feelings and nostalgia connected to PlayStation gaming from that time period!

Harrison Polites | Infinite Lives

Harrison creates incredible gaming content here on Substack, and has been very community-focused with other gaming writers!
The quality of writing that Harrison makes for Infinite Lives is very professional, focused on gamers, and well-worth reading! Harrison does a great job at making content accessible, while maintaining an engaging journalistic format!

Alex Stasenko | Gamedev Relay

I have loved the design and style of Alex’s Gamedev Relay publication from the moment I first saw it! It is an easy way to catch up on the latest news and information from the gaming world!
The formatting of each newsletter for Gamedev Relay is fantastic, and I love the Lightning Round sections that quickly go over gaming/tech news as well as the True Tribute sections that highlight others writers on Substack!
